Hello, my name is Lisa-Marie.
I grew up in south Germany in the Allgäu region, and for many years Mainz became my home. Now I am travelling the world without flying. Slowly, and with time. A new chapter of being on the road begins.

What do I do?
I have many years of experience in television as a video editor and I love bringing stories to life visually. I also teach. As a handpan instructor, I have led many workshops and private lessons for adults and children. My curiosity led me to study psychology, that I hold a bachelor’s degree in the field.
In my free time, I enjoy writing. My page here fulfills this need to write. After all, this is the first time I’m sharing my writing.
What else do I love?
Hiking. A few years ago, I wanted to hike across Germany from north to south. Unfortunately, I had to cut the trip short. A stress fracture. After that, I tackled shorter long-distance trails, like the GR221 in Mallorca or the E5 from Oberstdorf. A 100-kilometer hike in 26 hours was a milestone for me—maybe even a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I like to travel ultralight. A 5-kg backpack, sleeping in a tent. In the morning, I often don’t know where I’ll be sleeping that night.
I’ve been dreaming of traveling the world since I was a teenager. Now I’m finally setting off. Actually, it doesn’t have to be a trip around the world. For me, it’s about being on the road and connect with culture and people. Taking it slow. Taking my time.
